ThemesClassical and folk music is for everyone, both young and old, and themes from classical music are used even in today's pop music. Anita Gude has developed a special programme for junior school children (ages 7-11) in which she takes them on a journey through music. By playing the role of a music guide, she makes full use of the children's active imaginations. Duration is approximately 45 minutes. The atmosphere is more intimate and there are more opportunities for getting the children actively involved if the group has a maximum of 45 participants. Following the performance, additional lessons may be given allowing the children the opportunity to play a violin. A surcharge applies. |

The Horse's SecretThe Horse's Secret is a fantasy narrative and musical performance introducing children to the viola and the violin and their use in classical and folk music in Europe. Anita takes the children on an adventure in which they experience the origin of well-known pieces of music and get a taste of the different atmospheres created by various styles of music from countries such as Germany, Hungary, Italy, France, Spain and Ireland. Through interaction with the children, the music is brought to life. In the performance, the children are introduced to a violin maker searching for the very best material for a bow in order to get the most beautiful sound possible from Mr Bach's viola. The violin maker meets a horse called Igor in Siberia and Igor is honoured that he has been specially chosen to carry out a very important task. Together, the horse and the violin maker journey for a whole year across Europe in search of a particular piece of music for Mr Bach. |
